APOGEE

This is my most serious project and it centers around a boutique retirement home that I conceptualized and branded. I made APOGEE in honor of my grandparents getting older and wishing I could find a place well suited for them so when I couldn’t, I created my own. I set the scene in Wyoming because of all the beautiful nature but also because it is a family favorite place. The whole concept was to celebrate these elderly people for all that they have been through in life and make this blissful retirement home where they can reconnect with themselves in their later years. Looking back too long on the “good ole days” can be harmful to the mental health of seniors which is why I focused my imagery on reflections. Reflections can be misleading and it is better to look at what is right in front of you. To carry out this message, I put together a lookbook that dives into the details of the APOGEE experience. I also produced a few in-room essentials such as laser cut coasters and table tent calendars to fill out the residential rooms.
